Overview

A driver performance event is usually a driving behavior or pattern that affects the driver's safety or performance on the road. As a Fleet Manager you must assess the driver safety and help to improve the performance.

For example, you may see a lot of harsh braking, hard acceleration, hard cornering, or even distracted driving. These events compromise the safety of the driver, the vehicle, as well as the goods and hamper smooth operations. The key metrics of the response of the Driver Performance Events endpoints help you to identify the pain points and take action accordingly.

Fetch all the driver's performance events

  • Endpoint: v1/driver_performance_events
  • Description: Use this endpoint to view the performance events of all the drivers of your company.
  • Use Case: As mentioned earlier, it is critical for a Fleet Manager to have an overview of all the driver performance events, so that timely action can be taken. This endpoint allows you to view events of your drivers such as hard acceleration, duration of the hard acceleration, location where it happened, and at what time. This information paired along with the footage from the AI dashcams, can provide substantial information about the driver's performance and the behavior. This allows the Fleet Managers to ensure sufficient coaching is provided to the drivers so that it is not repeated.

Fetch the company's speeding events

  • Endpoint: v1/speeding_events
  • Description: Use this endpoint to view all the speeding events that have occurred for a particular driver, vehicle, or a specific date range.
  • Use Case: Check which driver has exceeded the speed limits, and also if this is a repeated offense or a one-time event. You can even check if the driver has already been coached or not. This allows you to take suitable action and ensure that your drivers follow the speed limits.

Fetch the driver's performance events (v2)

  • Endpoint: v2/driver_performance_events
  • Description: Use this endpoint to view the v2 performance events of all the drivers of your company.

Apart from hard brake, hard acceleration, the v2 also allows you to view the following:

  • seat_belt_violation, tailgating, cell_phone, stop_sign_violation, distraction, unsafe_lane_change, drowsiness, road_facing_cam_obstruction, driver_facing_cam_obstruction, forward_collision_warning
