New - Engine Immobilizer Endpoints
September 21st, 2026 by Abhay Anumula
We are now introducing endpoints to control the engine immobilizer controls of your fleet's vehicles.
They are introduced to support authorized customer integrations that need to immobilize, mobilize, and monitor vehicles programmatically, instead of relying only on the dashboard.
How they help
- Remote immobilization — authorized systems can disable a vehicle’s engine through activate.
- Remote mobilization — authorized systems can restore engine mobility through deactivate.
- Status visibility — integrations can verify installation, connectivity, mobility state, jamming settings, and the last command timestamp.
- Safer automation — activation is idempotent, concurrent commands are serialized, and rate limits plus an operational kill switch protect the system.
- Better integration reliability — clear errors distinguish missing equipment, disabled features, rejected commands, in-progress commands, and rate-limit conditions.
Endpoints
| Method | Endpoint | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| POST | /v1/engine_immobilizers/{vehicle_id}/activate | Immobilizes the vehicle engine. |
| POST | /v1/engine_immobilizers/{vehicle_id}/deactivate | Mobilizes the vehicle engine. |
| GET | /v1/engine_immobilizers/{vehicle_id}/status | Returns the current immobilizer status. |
